Can Networks Regulate Emotion?

About Me

I am a PhD candidate and management researcher at Emory University's Goizueta Business School. My research addresses how individuals use networks for emotion regulation and the downstream consequences for employee well-being, turnover intentions, organizational commitment, and engagement. I employ a multimethod approach combining social network analysis; experimental design; experience sampling; and computational text analysis.

My industry experience includes advising C-suite executives on future of work at Accenture Strategy, designing engaging employee experiences at Google, and marketing top television shows at Sony Pictures Television. These experiences inspire my research questions and influence my classroom engagement with Executive MBA, MBA, and undergraduate students.

In my spare time, I enjoy creating content integrating faith, research, and personal development on my YouTube channel,  traveling, and watching Shonda Rhimes’ shows. I earned an M.B.A from Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and a second major in Advertising from Seaver College of Pepperdine University.

See you at
AOM 2025!

I am delighted to invite you to our symposium at the 85th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management explores how psychological factors and personal experiences inside and outside of work influence network evolution, structure, and mobilization. Through diverse analytical and methodological approaches (e.g., stochastic actor-oriented models, experiments, qualitative analyses, and natural language processing) the presentations investigate how multicultural experiences, emotional exhaustion, negative affective events at work, and work-family conflict affect how individuals develop and utilize their professional networks. Stefano Tasselli will discuss the implications of these works on the state of network agency and intraorganizational network research. Organizational Behavior (OB), Managerial and Organizational Cognition sponsor (MOC), and Organization Management Theory (OMT), sponsor this symposium.
