About Me

ASHLYEE FREEMAN

I am a PhD candidate and management researcher at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. My research investigates how individuals use networks for emotion regulation. I examine how networks shape employee emotions, well-being, and performance, using a variety of methodologies: social network analysis, field and online surveys, experiments,  archival datasets, natural-language processing, and various qualitative approaches.

My industry experience includes advising C-suite executives as a strategy senior manager at Accenture Strategy, designing engaging employee experiences at Google, and marketing top television shows at Sony Pictures Television.  In my spare time, I enjoy creating content integrating faith, research, and professional development on my YouTube channel,  traveling, and enjoying all Shonda Rhimes’ shows. I earned an M.B.A from Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and a second major in Advertising from Seaver College of Pepperdine University.
